Strawberry Jam Cookies

As I told you, I been kind of busy working. But everytime I am working at the kitchen I like to listen some music. And lately I’ve been listening “work” by Rihanna; and that’s what I’ve been doing…working…at the kitchen, baking a lot of cookies and making tons of ice cream! So that’s the reason why the word WORK has been kind of my inspiration.

However, when I bake I also like to enjoy a dessert, in my case…cookies! So with the overproduction of strawberry jam at my house I made these Strawberry Jam Cookies. I love them! And here is the recipe for you!

7 oz butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
½ tsp cinnamon
2 ¼ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder

Butter Love Strawberry Jam

Preheat the oven at 350F

Creme butter, add sugar and egg. Then add de cinnamon, flour and baking powder. Mix until all the ingredients are incorporated. Make a dough ball and start kneading it. Use a circular cookie cutter (you can get creative by using other shapes!); these cookies are formed by two of them. So be sure to make them thin, and cut two of the same shape to make one. The one on top, should have another cutout in the center (because everybody wants to see a Little bit of jam).

Bake the cookies (the base cookies and the “top” cookies) for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, and turn back the base cookies (in order to add the jam to the flatter side). Add a Little bit of jam and put the other cookie on top. Bake for other 5 minutes. Take them out, let them cool down, and using a stainer add some powdered sugar.

Now you can enjoy them!
